CHAPTER 2

 My Arrival

The taxi man dropped me at my desired destination, and I came down from the cab and started walking towards the location my Boss directed me earlier, just as I was trekking down the street, I saw many warehouses filled up with people who were busy buying their choice plastic leather materials. Meanwhile, I never knew what my Boss is trading on, all I know is that he is an importer. But I wished It will be this kind of material these people were rushing to buy. Remember that I said earlier that, I don't even know my Boss to be and have not seen him before.

After a long trek from the point, the taxi man dropped me, I got to the place my boss told me and waited, to see if he will come by himself or send someone to come and get me. I greeted the people around me and kept quiet since I don't know my boss's name to get directions towards his warehouse. A guy approached me and ask me if I was waiting for someone, I replied "Yes". So he told me to follow him. I ask him if he knew who I am waiting for, he said yes that his Boss sent him to get me. I thought for a while and followed him. Do your Boss sell this material these people do, "I asked him pointing at a nearby warehouse. Yes " he responded". I was excited within me and also disturbed because I saw how those boys were busy dragging out those materials from where it was stacked together. So this is what I will be doing until my years of service are over, "I reasoned with myself". Well, to be a man is not a day job, and nothing good comes so easy. I muttered as we continue going to my boss's warehouse.

We came to one of the warehouses and stopped, then the guy went inside and usher me inside. I went inside and saw an elderly man and his wife sitting on their seat looking at me with concentration. Good afternoon Sir, Good after Ma. "I greeted". You're welcome my dear, please come and sit over here, my boss replied pointing at the bench beside him. I gently move over there and sat down. What is your name boy? My boss asked me. My name is Robert Favour, people call me Robbie, "I replied while keeping my luggage beside me". Solomon! "He called out". Sir !, Solomon answered and rushed to meet him. Take Robbie's bag and put them inside the car trunk box (boot). My boss instructed him and handed his car key to him. Okay, Sir, Solomon responded and carried my luggage away to the car.

Who is Solomon?

Solomon is the guy that brought me to my boss's warehouse from where I was directed to stop after coming down from the taxi. He's married with three kids. But why will he still be serving my boss at his age and marital status? I thought to myself. Maybe he's not financially stable. I began to look around the warehouse and the goods stuffed inside it, my phone rang and I looked at it saw that it was my mum calling, then I stood up and moved aside from where I was sitting beside my boss and answered her.

Mom: Robbie have you arrived at your master's place?

Me: Yes mom, just a few minutes ago

Mom: I thank God for journey Mercy

Me: Me too mom.

Mom: Alright, behave well ooo and remember what you promised us.

Me: I will always do so mom, also put me in prayers.

Mom: Okay, Bye!

Me: Bye mom!

The call ended and I came back to my seat. I guessed your mom called you to check if you have arrived, My boss asked me. Yes, sir, I replied. After a while, an oxblood-colored Camry car stopped in front of the warehouse, the man driving a car with a lady stepped down from the car first, and a pretty girl of my age stepped down from the car also with her siblings. All of them moved inside our warehouse greeting my boss and her wife with excitement. At first, I thought they came to buy materials from us, so I stood up to attend to them, " just imagine a novice like me attending to customers". Robbie, they are not customers, "my boss said to me". So I went back and sat down in my seat.

Guess who I was looking at? One of the kids that were with them came to where I was sitting and greeted me, then others followed suit. I responded to them in a lovely manner. Uncle, what is your name? Who are you looking for? Are you a customer? Are you the person selling for our grandfather?. "Those kids asked me ", Hmmm!, Four questions at the same time, which one will I answer first? Just then a voice shouted, "Munachimso!!!" I looked up and saw her again, my mind skipped. The kids left me with their questions unanswered and ran to her. Oya all of you should go inside and sit down one place osisoo !!! (quickly), "the girl instructed ". At once, those kids obeyed and sat down beside her with Moody and sadly looks on their faces. The smallest one asked her, why do you not want us to stay with that uncle? the elder one also said to her, "I like that uncle". Do you know that Uncle? She asked them, and they nodded their head in disagreement and chorused," Noooo!". Then keep quiet and behave yourselves, "she ended".

After a short period they stayed with their grandparents in the warehouse, they decided to go back home. My eyes were still on her, monitoring all her movements, on how she controlled those kids with care and kindness. My mind began to fall for her. what am I thinking sef? "I questioned myself". At that point, I remember that I came on a mission to serve and be settled at the end of my service and not to date or fall in love with anyone. The man that drove them to the warehouse called them together as they took their leave back to where they came from. I watched her as she took those kids inside the car and entered as well. Chai!!! When will I see her again, I wish to speak with her, mtchewww! " I sighed and thought about it". Robbie! Robbie!! Who are you looking at? The voice came from behind me and I turned around and saw Solomon standing with a student foam and pillow on his both hands. Are you not the one I am asking? "He voiced out". Sorry, Sir, I didn't know you were asking me," I gently replied". Hmmm! You better focus ooo, you're even lucky it wasn't our boss, "he motioned and handed the foam and pillow to me". Oga told me to give it to you. Remember to carry it home while going, "he said to me and left." We stayed for a while and then close up the warehouse for the day. I went to the car trunk and put both the foam and pillow inside it, I opened the car door and entered, my boss and his wife entered also and we zoomed off.

After a short ride, we approached my boss's house, he blew the car horn, shortly, the gate was opened, I looked through the car window to see who opened the gate.
